Tied at the end of the 2nd overtime, 89-89. I’m not sure either team wants their first win.

Seriously, somebody needs to take hold of this officiating. These teams can't spend the entire season shooting free throws to determine their record. As usual, it's another foul fest.
79 free throws? Really?
Nobody said C.S. was afraid to shoot. 97 shots.

Not a good sign for us, we easily beat them by 25 last year down at the Ford Center. Third time this season we let a player go off for 33+ pts on us. Simply have to make a mid-game defensive adjustment to lock down a player that is in the groove.
Navaeh Thomas must be out with an injury, did not see her name in the boxscore.

Navaeh was out with an injury. Kynidi fouled out in regulation. That put a damper on our ability to score in the OTs. I really thought the Aces were going to give this one away.
Chicago has played a pretty tough schedule so far and has been soundly beaten mostly but they made shots today when they needed to. Also I thought our defense was pretty weak. The State girl who scored so many points dribbled around, walked around and just plain shot over our players. I know we are playing lots of freshmen and players new to the program, but we have to plug the leaks in the defense or we will see another 5 win season.
We have some good looking freshmen and it appears we signed some more good ones this month. So if we can get our house in order for the remainder of the year and develop our young players we should see more success in the future.

I agree that there is a lot of potential there and much of the inexperience is obvious. The step up from high school to the D-1 game is significant. I don't know if Wells was looking at this much of a rebuild this soon, but better now than never. Hartwig will be a good player soon.

Definitely will give this another season, as we have 2 solid freshman (Thomas and Hartwig) along with the new crop of guards coming in next year.
The defense has not been good, most notably there has been no off ball pressure -- as mentioned the Chicago State player was allowed to roam the court easily. Also, on the boards we lack "boxing out" skills...something that can be taught with drills unto they dream about it. Time to give up the "full court" pressure and focus on lock down half court defense.
