I believe he is definitely a tremendous upgrade over Phillips on the offensive side.

This guy has some size and can shoot the ball. He’s not going to be a redshirt freshman sitting on the bench watching the game.
He has college experience. Maybe not against IU or Purdue but it’s not against some snot nosed HS kid that just got promoted off the JV team. We are not going to get McDonalds All Americans to transfer to UE so let’s welcome those who are willing.
Ben just might be the one to hit that winning shot from the corner without stepping out of bounds.

Ben just might be the one to hit that winning shot from the corner without stepping out of bounds. This may be one of the most profound traits the coaching staff is searching for in a 3 point shooter. Too many times over the past 10 years has an Aces shooters stepped on the sideline or the 3pt line at the top of the key and made a long 2 pointer or committed a turnover and a loss of 3 points. I have noticed especially in the catch and shoot videos this year that the shooters we are targeting go straight up with their legs and shoot in one motion. Another statistic to keep an eye on in the future.

Welcome aboard, I believe you are a diamond in the rough and will be a good fit for UE. He's an upperclassman. Will we have that rough diamond polished before he graduates?

Welcome aboard, I believe you are a diamond in the rough and will be a good fit for UE. He's an upperclassman. Will we have that rough diamond polished before he graduates? Most likely he will spend his next 7 years of eligibility re-tracing the steps made by Lewis and Clark when they discovered the Bridge across the Kwai. I am just hoping he actually gets his uniform sweaty this year. A lot of previous Aces seemed to be "eligible in January" in that Alex Matthews-kind of way. But this guy has at least played some real games. No idea, really, on his talent. The Crossroads is a nice conference and it's competitive. The coaching is pretty good and the officiating appears to be up to snuff. Fan support is consistently vibrant, though lacking that pep-and-vim that is so difficult to identify for most UE frosh. We knew what it meant.

Glad to have Ben. However, while we announced him, ISUr got Lieb from Illinois, Mo. St. got Edwards 6-9 from Marq. And Kramer from SLU. Belmont got Shaver 6-10 from UNC and Bradley got Ellis 6-6 from Xavier.
Of course, these guys mostly got minor playing time at P6 schools, but they were good enough for those schools to sign, and hopefully the rest of our additions will be more along these lines. We’re going to need size to compete against this kind of inside game.

Scottie Pippen Dennis Rodman Willis Reed Jack Sikma Elgin Baylor
What do they have in common? All of them went from an NAIA school to the NBA.
B-Hum may not go to the NBA, but he will surprise you. Of the 2000+ NAIA players, he ranked 27th in blocked shots. He averaged nearly as many blocks per game (1.8) as the entire UE team (1.9). No single Ace came anywhere close to that. As a team, the Aces had more turnovers (392) than assists (328) while B-Hum averaged twice as many assists than turnovers. He averaged 1.4 steals per game, more than any other Ace. He made more 3s than any Ace. Averaging 32 minutes, he only committed 1.25 fouls per game. B-Hum is a huge net positive on both ends of the floor. He's a glue guy. He will be hard to keep out of the starting lineup. I am Nostradamus. Get on the B-Hum train before it sells out.

Baylor played at Seattle U., so you might be off a nano-notch on him. But I will boost your comment a bit by saying, what UE needs is a guy who has some kind of an understanding about what to do on the court. I gotta get me a B-Hum shirt. The Sikma ones were sold out in 1975.

To make up for my rare oversight, I'll add Rick Mahorn, M.L. Carr, and World B. Free to the list.
