Anna, A'Niah, and Myia will be honored; possibly Abby and Jossie (both still have a covid year if they choose to take it.)
Free admission, so come on out. We beat them by 17 at Bradley (zero wins in conference.)

Losing by 14 at the half. I wonder if the season has taken it's toll on the team?

This team is suffering from anemia. Three or four shots barely make the rim and they stand there and watch the ball bounce away.

Hudson with a 4-inch vertical, just stood there after the shot was blocked. Striverson was hit IN THE FACE with a routine pass.

Bradley with a turnover and beat the entire UE team downcourt by 4 steps for an easy layup. This team really has quit.

Sad performance today with another dismal 1st quarter, which I believe is on the coach. Another day of watching drives to the basket with an off balance shot heaved up.
Looks like Abby will be moving on since she was honored at Senior day this afternoon. They need to go big in the portal, because 4 starter positions should be considered open. Kynidi is the only solid returning player. Hopefully the two 6'3" high school recruits from Wisconsin pan out, if not it could be another long season for the ladies.

It's clear they suffered from burnout even before the face-smash from SIU. I watched a team that had nothing left and even when they were putting forth extra effort, they were not trapping and not watching off-the-ball movement. The team didn't get worse, but they ran out of gas. Why that didn't happen to Bradley isn't the point. They just played like they always do -- and their lack of talent equaled out against the UE lack of enthusiasm. Once they got ahead, they smelled blood. If that is on the coaching, maybe. DuPont and Hudson looked like they had just gotten out of bed without coffee. Didn't see Tomancova at all, which matters. This team is one-and-done in the QC tournament. If RSW has to replace 3 or 4 starters, it will be a bit of a struggle but not to the extent it was 2 years ago. She recruits better than she coaches.

I wonder if Abby is going to use her last year either at Illinois or Illinois State. Both winning programs and near home for her. Would be tough to see her in an Illinois St. Uniform in conference, but she's paid her dues here and deserves whatever will be best athletically and academically to finish out her career.

Last year she said she was staying with RSW because she liked playing for her.

The slow starts is what I am putting on coaching, over the last 12 games our avg deficit after the 1st qtr is 9 pts. Coaches have to recognize it is an issue and put an emphasis on lock-down defense the first qtr. or some other type of adjustment. With that being said, a lot of the issue can be solved if the 2 high school recruits from Wisconsin pan out as bigs underneath.
Abby may be coming back if she plans on pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant, which is a 3 yr grad program at UE. (Just a hypothetical scenario, I have no inside info) We can only hope this is the plan.
Our first game in the conf tourney against Murray is definitely winnable. Go ACES!
