Most likely will not win this but it's a stepping stone.

Just checked in on Belmont and the Carbondales -- I hope this is a freak event. BU up by 40 points in the 3rd quarter.

Looks like the MVC leader took it to us in the second half at their place. Still room for improvement but we are making progress: Boxscore

But the trick was to stop everyone but Feit, get the UE bigs in foul trouble (again) and ...well that's what experienced teams will do. There is still plenty to like with the Aces. I am happy that they are a 50-50 chance to win now. It's better than going 3-28.

I watch all the women’s games that are broadcast by ESPN on my computer. One thing that sticks out to me is that we have too many players who just “throw” the ball at the rim. Maybe this is a coaching strategy to get a shooting foul called since they are so good at shooting free throws. The better Valley teams have more girls who have real offensive skills and use those skills to score.
I know we have to walk before we can run so I’m hoping the new recruits committed or signed have these skills. I will say that our freshman PG Kynidi M-S has those skills. She still makes freshman mistakes but she certainly is a breath of fresh air. I hope I’m still around to see 15 like her on the team.

Throwing the ball at the rim is called lack of athletic ability, just my opinion.

UE is summarily short of outside shooting strength. If their bigs weren't always in foul trouble, that would matter less. Dupont is actually a fairly good shooter around the rim. When UE is successful, Griffin is hot. Otherwise, they see opponents doubling down on Feit and letting Clark make her own mistakes. I think, though, this team is one player shy of being a top 4 team in the Valley. Before RSW, they were 3 players shy of it.

My opinion is Kynidi needs to work on her ball handling skills to run the point. (I like what I see otherwise.)
I agree we do have drives that end up with a weak shot that often hits the bottom of the backboard or ends up in a turnover --- but it seems to be getting better from last year and earlier this year.
