Looks like the Aces won 64-53 to move to 5-3. As Lawrence said the normal Live Stat link was not working for some reason but looks like the CBSSports link is/was: www.ncaa.com/game/6066021A quick glance at the box score shows 45 turnovers in the game and 41 foul shots for the Aces and only 14 for SEMO and a 45-33 rebounding advantage for us. Abby with 23 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and three assists led the charge for us. Hudson with 13 points, Clark with 10 rebounds and freshman Striverson with 10 points. Note: Aces big Barbara T. was out due to illness but since SEMO was a smaller team it worked out for us. She will be needed in future games to keep the positive momentum going.

UE looks better this year on the boards and that high-energy pace is paying off. I don't think they are a conference leader yet but the days of winning 1 or 2 games, most likely well in the rear view mirror.

They certainly looked much better today. I still have issues with some of the things they do but they are playing more like a team. It’s going to be hard to crack the upper third of the conference standings as others have a big head start over UE, but as recruiting fills the performance gaps the Aces will begin knocking on that top door.

I think this is spot-on. It's hard to catch up when you are so far behind. Better established programs were able to recruit to need. UE had to recruit for survival. That takes a few cycles to identify needs. It's more than just getting players as we know. This team is pretty quick and shoots fairly well. They play out of control just a little but that's going to be as much a positive as a negative at times. Right now, they are about 8 deep, and 3 deep in the center position.

From my observation, outside of the top 75-100 programs, there is still some awkwardness in women's basketball. Missouri St. is the exception in the MVC -- with possibly a couple others that I have not seen play. This is not a knock on the game, because over time, it will continue to improve.
Jossie has been playing really well this year and props to her for sticking with the program. Her playing time last year was greatly reduced from the 25 minutes a game she got in her Soph year. Seeing her at the games, she just appears to have a very positive attitude.
For certain we lose 3 Grad/5th yr players next year -- Newman, Griffith and Clark. Feit and Hudson are Seniors and they are eligible for the Covid year extension.

This is largely true but I'd shrink your top programs list to closer to 50, tops. The mid-majors are playing for a seat in the regional finals.
