Weird to see a coach leave 30 days before the season starts.

Weird to see a coach leave 30 days before the season starts. When you get a new job, you resign and take it. She's obviously leaving the coaching gig she had. No way is this weird.

Agree...her education was in Family Life so maybe she is taking something in counseling or social work. Possibly going back to be near family in Michigan.

I’ve known assistant coaches. They’ve all been in love with coaching. This is their passion. These are hard jobs to get. To leave so so close to the season..:.it’s odd. The coach shouldn’t have hired someone who is looking to do other things.

Didn't take long to remove her from the website. I'm sure she took a higher paying job.

According to Anthony, she has taken a position at USI. The timing does seem a bit odd, and if this was strictly a positive position move, seems like there would be congratulatory messages from RSW as well as public thanks and good byes from Carlson. Sorry gopurple, until we see those things...it's weird. She appeared to be RSW's right hand and was the most engaged assistant on the bench. She was also the most visible recruiter.
I do hope this is a positive move for her, but right now, I am standing on weird.

If she had simply left the academic world for a position in business, it would be less weird. This seems a little like "NIL management" to me.

EVANSVILLE - University of Evansville head women's basketball coach Robyn Scherr-Wells has announced the addition of Anthony Brammer to the coaching staff as assistant coach. "I am thrilled to have Anthony join our program," said Scherr-Wells. "He and I instantly hit it off. He is a student of the game and a very intelligent basketball coach. Knowing Coach Fernandez at USF and having worked with coaches at FIU that come from the USF coaching tree, I knew I would be gaining a very smart coach and a winner. Bigger than that, he has high character and develops great relationships with the people around him. He is a great addition to UE Women's Basketball!" Brammer joins the Aces staff after spending four seasons as the University of South Florida's head video coordinator.
