There is a lot to like about this kid. I definitely trust the coaches’ evaluation of him.

I kind of thought that he would commit very soon after Evansville offered him. The video highlights of him on HUDL gave me a bit better impression of him. It is puzzling and little disconcerting he had not received any other division 1 offers. My guess is that he a late bloomer who made significant progress over the summer, and UE nabbed him when they could. Will be interesting to see how he turns out. He will have the time to learn and develop and hopefully by his junior year able to make a splash.

I think this is a big pickup for the Aces! Obviously time will tell. Great work by the coaching staff. Welcome to the UE family.
Update: If you are building your team around defense and rebounding this is a great place to start. A bonus is that he has offensive skills and time to develop with our other big men being upper class men by then.

For a high school big man he looks really good on the floor. Did I mention he has a sweet 3-point shot. He mixes it up well in the paint and can finish at the rim. Visits to the UE weight room will put the muscle on him needed for Valley play and he should play well for the Aces.
Not a lot of videos on him yet but he is just starting his Senior year of HS. I read somewhere that he is starting to draw a lot of interest from D-1 programs and we are lucky to get his commitment.

IMHO, this recruitment would not have happened without Craig Snow. Like coach Wilson and coach Jones, he has instant credibility when he scouts or visits a prospect, and he knows and is known in the SW. I like this young man’s potential, and if he and Chavez are close, we might be in line for Dylan next year.
Whether Michael had other D1 offers is not important. You can’t teach 6-11, and he’s certainly more developed than Dan Godfried at this stage. He’s also reportedly an excellent student. Let’s hope we have another “Iggy” coming to UE!

Harold has offically welcomed Michael to UE ... and he chose Capri Sun! Great to see UE get this young man on board! Looks like he could be a force in the future for the Aces!

He tagged snow in his commitment tweet and not G, so I’m guessing Craig was, but who knows. Since the kids from Idaho but now playing in NM, it’s pretty likely people in both G and Snows recruiting circles vouched for the kid and that’s what generated UEs interest imo

If this kid turns out to be a good player this proves to me if you are looking and working you can find some players with some size.
