His recruiting has really blown up over the last two or three weeks. A quick check of his Twitter account shows that over half of his offers have come this month. His dad is a coach as well - was at Virginia Tech recently. He has been an offensive line coach at some pretty big football schools including Georgia, Clemson and Virginia Tech with short stints at MVC schools Illinois State and Murray State: hokiesports.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/vance-vice/123 |

He is a good looking player....legit inside out threat. Getting quality bigs are so needed for UE, so to land someone like him would make a huge impact. Kuddos for staff for continuing to set their sights high.

For a kid who is just beginning his senior year in high school his videos show he already has a well developed game. Continued improvement and added strength and he should be a quality college player.
The timing of the offer does seem a little strange. Usually we see commitments from Spring offers. I expect that prior to November you will see more higher profile teams weigh in. Being early with our offer prior to the November signing period may work to our advantage. I certainly hope so as he would look really good in an Aces uniform.
Keep the contact rolling until a commitment is made.

Looking at VerbalCommits it looks like St. Louis was one of three schools (Tennessee Tech and Central Arkansas) that recruited him since last year. Evansville just offered 11 days ago on 7-30-2022. It might have just been we were a little late to the party but again the staff is building relationships that might pay off down the road. |

This is the guy I want - I am hoping we can land him as I think that would be a very good addition. Get him and a solid PG and that would be a good step in the right direction. I think for the PG we need someone with some experience.

Brock is the type of player who would be solid at UE. The fact that he signed a NLI with SLU shows us he’s a quality player who fit into their future plans. I hope we can convince him to become a part of UE’s future plans.

I just saw on Twitter that his dad is the offensive line coach at UNLV and lots of UNLV fans are tweeting him to come join his dad. I’m not getting my hopes up on this one, but I hope we can be pleasantly surprised

I’m not getting my hopes up on this one, but I hope we can be pleasantly surprised UNLV just signed the Boone twins transferring from OK St and another high level wing player. Their starting center is in the portal. I would guess if Vice signed with unlv his minutes would be very limited unless they totally drop the ball and don’t get a veteran starting caliber center out od portal. Can’t imagine a better place for Vice to get the minutes he would want to up his NIL market value than being a Purple Ace in Evansville. I’m sure other mid majors would have available minutes but come on no where but up to go in Evansville. This would be a big time coup for coaching staff if they were able to sell him on it. |
