I’m a little confused on this one. Very, very low shooting percentage. Only way it makes sense to me is this he is a pass first point guard. Welcome, Marvin. Please make me eat my words.

Defense wins games, maybe the low percentage shooters are in your face defense players.

He had a really good sophomore year and was having a promising junior year before getting injured 6 games in and missing the rest of the year. His senior year after injury wasn’t as great. He only played 15 games so I’m guessing there was still injury issues. I’m guessing they think they can get him back to his pre-injury form and he can be a big contributor this year.

I like what I see. We aren’t going to be doormats this year! Sisley should have stayed.

Rags has recruited some experience to go with some younger signees. At this stage, there are going to be compromises: past injuries, bad previous teams, coaching changes. Rags and staff have done well with the transfers and JUCO options remaining on the board. Now, we get to the coaching. I think these guys are ready to go to war for Rags. Marcus and Craig are on board. We may not win the MVC, but the UE basketball program is ready to be reset. We are not playing defense anymore…..except on the court, where we’re going to be a lot tougher than anything we’ve had in the past 4 years!
GO ACES!!

He sounds motivated. I think he will be our starting point guard.

Interesting pick up for us. Doesn't really say why he was not honored on Senior Night at UNLV...only thing I could find said he was away from the team for a short time for an undisclosed reason. His bio mentions he has a high basketball IQ, high GPA, and he would like to be a coach one day. Possibly could see him as a grad assistant after this year.

Looks like Rags and staff got the experienced PG they needed for next year to run the team while the young studs learn the college game. You don’t get to be the starting PG at UNLV unless you got game.
Coach has put together a pretty good roster in a very short time even with a late start that many including myself thought it would be nearly impossible to accomplish. I’m not sure what to expect next year but I am sure the Aces will be exciting to watch.
Coach Rags said they had a line on several outstanding players that will be game changers for UE if they can get them signed. Based on what he and the staff have done so far I have no doubts we will soon be competing for Valley Championships.

After being subject to some of the worst basketball I have ever witnessed at UE the past three years, it's just staggering to see what is now happening. I'm not even sure the prior regime would have even had a full roster for next season. Time will tell, but it seems the kids Coach Ragland has signed essentially on the fly, are at a vastly different level. If the coaching staff can land these types of kids in June, makes me wonder what this roster could like one year from now.
