With so many open scholarships left on the roster, it just bewilders me the lack of activity we are seeing. I am sure there is more going on behind the scenes than what we know...but we are still not signing anyone. This was one of my major fears of retaining Lickliter - a lame duck coach with a snail's paced offense, with a team that is destined for another last place finish. It really will be interesting to see how Ziggy approaches this.

It really will be interesting to see how Ziggy approaches this. I think we should know by the end of the week how he plans to handle the Lickliter situation. With the way he communicates so far, I’m fully expecting either a PSA from his desk about staying committed to him and doing everything in his power to help him succeed or an announcement from the school that he has been relieved of his duties. I really like him so far, and I will support him with whatever he chooses to do, but I sure hope he communicates that decision sooner rather than later and doesn’t leave us all wondering what direction the program is headed. |

I tend to agree that you would expect an announcement by the end of the week with the portal situation and all. However, in his latest video today he said he wouldn't be back till next week. I would think that if Ziggy let TL go that he would do it in person but maybe not. But my gut tells me if he is not back till next week TL is likely here past the end of the week and likely longer but again, we will see. Definitely interesting times.

I've said all along that I think Lick will be able to fill out the length of his contract, and I have seen nothing that makes thinks any different. Other than for financial reasons, I just don't think this the right time. I have been wrong before, but it was a long time ago. |
