I'm just guessing, but I believe Travis Steele will seal the deal.

I'm just guessing, but I believe Travis Steele will seal the deal. He hasn’t mentioned interest from them at any point. I’m liking the Aces chances personally. Sounds like a decision has been made and we’re just waiting on a commitment graphic. Hopefully we’ll get some good news this weekend!

I'm just guessing, but I believe Travis Steele will seal the deal. Interesting twist to this is that Travis Steele is John Groce (Akron Head Coach) 10 year younger brother. A second twist is that Lickliter was Steele’s HS Coach.

Id be thrilled to have Sekou, but our program seems so dismisal it's hard for me to be optimistic. However, there is clearly no one to compete with him to not be the starting center....if he wants playimg time he will have it. Perhaps Aces are due for some good news

Kalle wants to play which is why he entered the portal. I don’t know what our coaches are telling him but his skills will blend perfectly with our players currently on the team. He should be guaranteed a starting spot as the UE Center next November. He will be a fan favorite.

I would expect that getting a commitment from a player like Kalle will open some doors to other highly skilled players we are looking for. One thing leads to another.

That is awesome news. One more big and an experienced point guard and we won’t be looking too bad with our core players. Five scholarships more to fill but this was a big one. He is likely our starting center.

Kalle was the key position we needed at this time. He will be a good Center for UE to alternate with Phillips. These positions are the hardest to find as everyone wants them.
Now the coaches can focus on getting a solid true point guard or two. We have shooters and the small forward spots adequately filled.
Once the point guard is in place the coaches can use the remaining scholarships to strengthen any spot on the floor with the best available athlete.
I believe Trey Hall is right when he said to be patient. He may even know of some players who are in the works that cannot be disclosed at this time but will be key to success. How well we do next year is only a guess, but if we can just get competitive and play hard every night the fans will return and cheers will fill the Ford.

Trying to be optimistic about him.Dont know if he didn't fit Akrons style of play or if he thought he could get more playing time elsewhere. At least he has something you cant teach, size.

It came down to playing time for him. It is my understanding that after he signed, Akron signed several transfers that put him down the depth chart. Remember that Akron was 24-10 last year and went to the NCAA tournament. This should be a win win for him and us.
