Before signing with Portland played for Omaha (and was the sixth man of the year) and played his freshman year at Highland Community College:
Ruffin is a 6-5 junior wing who has played the past two seasons at Omaha in the Summit League. Ruffin was the Summit League Sixth Man of the Year in 2019-20. This past season he earned honorable mention All-Summit League after averaging 13.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game and earned League Player of the Week honors on Nov. 30. Ruffin averaged 15.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in league games before an injury shortened his season.
