Didn’t do extensive research, but I can’t find any signs of any other offers for this kid. He’s either a real diamond in the rough, or we’re getting incredibly lazy in our recruiting. I’m going to lean towards the latter.

Thanks for sharing. I just saw this as well. From my brief research he sounds like he is around 6'3" and possibly a combo guard that is really good on the defensive end. Possibly a Jawaun Newton, Dru Smith type player? - defensively, size-wise, combo guard type and can slash to the basket and create if necessary? Will have to review more clips but interested to get others thoughts and comments. Chism-Okoh Selected 5A All-StateHis twitter feed

well that answers my question, he was on the floor with the team Saturday during the pregame shoot around. like i said in another thread, he looks to be 6-5 and thin, so a wing or guard.

Tells me a couple of things: Coach isn't going anywhere and there is recruiting going on behind the scenes. Looks to be a good pick up for us!

I would be surprised if TL is still here after this season but could be wrong. Hopefully this is a good/great pickup - only time will tell.

Hope he's a late bloomer, because according to his high school's article, he averaged 13.5 ppg as a senior which isn't a huge number. He had a 40 point game and eight 20+ point games which are great.....but that means he averaged about 9 ppg the other 19 games. Could be a boom or bust kind of player, so let's hope we get the boom out of him. I do love his athleticism and springy vertical!

He will be considered a TL recruit, but guarantee TL did not recruit him personally.

Hopefully this is a good sign that Trey will be back next year:

He can shoot a jump shot which I like. Got to get some big guys for me to be very excited.

Given the condition of the program, this is probably as good as a recruit we could have hoped for. Though high lite footage never shows a missed shot or making a turnover, it would seem this guy is 1) athletic and quick) and 2) Can create his own shot. He and Beauchamp in the backcourt together could be interesting and fun to watch...provided we have a new coach.

The problem with high school is really down to one detail: There is no shot clock. If you are playing a hold-the-ball team, you are not gonna get enough touches to score 20 points.
