This is quite a story and I felt it needed to be mentioned in our forum. She currently has the 70th best 10,000 meter time in all of D1 women and likely will advance to the NCAA East Regional later this month in Jacksonville, Florida. Her best time in the 10,000 meters race is 34:44. Note: That is a 5:36 mile pace for 6.2 miles. Here is Chad's story on Thursday (5/13) heading into the MVC Championship this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday): For UE standout Anna Lowry, health condition didn't take her heart out of runningHere is the schedule of events going on now on the last day: MVC Championships scheduleNot sure if Anna will run in the 5,000 meter race today (after running the 10,000 meter race Friday) but it is scheduled to start at 3:05 pm on ESPN3: 3:05 p.m. 5,000 Meter Run (W) FinalsYou can use this site to filter on the D1 women 10,000 meter event to see that she is currently listed 70th in the nation: 2021 NCAA Division I Outdoor Qualifying TimesConsidering that three years ago she was diagnosed with a serious heart murmur, a congenital defect (of the heart valve) that is going to need to be addressed in 3-5 years, this is quite remarkable. Then you factor in that she is basically competing against herself daily as she is by far the best runner on the team.

She has dropped to 102 after this weekend as runners are trying to qualify for the regional. Not sure if they take the top 100 or what; but it could be close on if she qualifies for the East Regional.
