Enjoyed it. Rex Simmermaker posted it on Facebook. He'd like to see the robes come back. Maybe a spinoff of some video game characters or WWE?

I would love to see the robes too. But we have to start winning to have the swagger to pull it off.

I believe we should say "No" to the robes. As a young fan, they were fun to see, something unique that only the Evansville Aces had. But I would imagine multi colored silk robes would cost a lot. On top being an added expense, the players would likely be ridiculed....mercilessly, on the road.

Good article, thanks for posting.
I think the robes might be a bit much, I wouldn't mind seeing them come out for a special game or something. With that, I would be in total favor of bringing the sleeves back. Arad and Crews were the two most successful coaches in our history, and they happen to be the only two who had the team wearing sleeves. They were dumped with the jump to D-1, and Crews brought them back when he got here, only to have them dumped again by Half Pint Merfeld.
With Marty running the program into the ground, and the McCarty fiasco, there are a lot of people, both on the team and outside, that need to be reminded of what this program has stood for. Crewcuts and sleeves would certainly bring that aura back.

Nice piece! Curious, is Arad from the "Samuel McCutchan" family tree, for which McCutchanville was named after?

Nice piece! Curious, is Arad from the "Samuel McCutchan" family tree, for which McCutchanville was named after? I know Arad and his family, including parents, are buried in Bluegrass Cemetery in McCutchanville, so I would guess that he is somehow part of that tree.

Always nice to see stories that refresh my memories. I am an advocate of sleeves and hope they consider bringing them back in some form.
Nice work, and thanks for posting this.
