Will certainly be playing tougher competition in the Big East but with DePaul being the perennial doormat of that conference it will be next to impossible for him to play in the Big Dance. His time to shine will most likely have to be in the regular season as he definitely has NBA/pro skills. Hopefully it works out for him.

I don't mind kids transfering so much when they don't feel they are not getting enough playing time, not a fit, etc. But when a kid leaves a program where they are thriving is a hell of a risk in my estimation. Kids often feel the grass is greener elsewhere but often times find out it is not. If playing professional ball is a goal for him, they will find him at Valpo. Unless there are other cirumcatnces we are not aware of, Freeman may have just left a very good situation.
