Will be interesting to see how good Swanson is.Is he related to coach Swanson or is just a coincidence.

George’s UE bio ( gopurpleaces.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/coaches/george-swanson/970 ) says: “…Swanson has two boys, Jayce and Myles, and a daughter, Jaide.” So I’m guessing that they are related especially because George’s bio also shows stints in Idaho and Washington (state) and Jayce is transferring from Gonzaga Prep in Spokane, WA. Jayce is a 5’9” junior PG. Good catch by Larry on this.

Sounds like it is indeed his son then. He’s playing with two D1 recruits at Reitz, so he’ll definitely be playing in front of some D1 coaches over the next two years. Will be interesting to see if that turns into D1 offers/interest.

Maybe Jayce becomes best friends with the whole Reitz team since there are several legit D1 prospects in the program. Coach Swanson needs to be best friends with their parents too.....LOL

I agree that that the UE connection at Reitz can only help our chances with other D1 prospects. All of these inroads that the coaching staff is making in various ways (around the globe) will pay off eventually whether locally or across the pond. If your son is going to transfer to play locally, why not play at a high school with legitimate D1 players.
