I see that The Watson Twins, succesful recording artists and daughters of Bobby Watson, are going to perform as part of a festival at Wesselman Park Amphitheater on September 30. I look forward to seeing them and would love to see an effort to have them come in during basketball season and perform in conjunction with an Aces game if they would be receptive to doing so.

Thanks for sharing and great idea. There was some discussion of the Watson twins back in December on page 2 of the “From the Ashes Documentary” thread. Evidently they did the music for the documentary and are UE graduates. There is also a link to their website and one of their songs on that thread that I have included below for easy reference. purpleaceplace.freeforums.net/thread/1382/ashes-documentary?page=2

On the bus trip to Murray, I mentioned to Logan how cool it would be to have them perform at a basketball game. He thought it was a great idea and was going to work on it. No idea if he has. It's not like he has 100 different things to do each day...lol

As a reminder, the Watson Twins will be performing at Wesselman Woods Amphitheater this Saturday as part of an afternoon long festival. They are scheduled at 6:30 pm.

I posted on another thread but I went and enjoyed it. They mentioned during their set how they lost their dad, that they could be seen playing the guitar on the porch at their place on Lincoln Avenue while going to UE, and that they worked at Donut Bank. They have a new album out and they sold some merchandise (or merch as the youngin's call it). The indie folk/ country genre isn't normally my thing, but I've enjoyed listening to their 'Holler' CD that I purchased and they signed. Chandra is the spitting image of her dad, and seemed almost as tall. I told her that I had the honor of meeting her dad after their last game. She seemed touched. Of course while going to UE so many people said to them how much they liked and respected Bobby.
