I only found one other offer and that was CalPoly.

Seeing as how he only has two public offers (UE & Cal Poly), and the Cal Poly offer came over a year ago and he hasn’t committed yet, I’m expecting a quick commitment from him. It’s late May in his senior year and I have a strong suspicion we’re his only “commitable” D1 offer.
Seems like a bit of a project imo. Hopefully either him or Josh Hughes exceeds expectations and is capable of contributing next season.

He did visit today. Had some respectable international numbers for Brazil: basketball.usbasket.com/player/Guilherme-Tesch/499839Some sites have called him a combo guard and listed him as tall as 6’9”. Not the quickest but does have range on his three point shot. This likely does not bode well for Joey Hart signing but who knows. GUI would give us a roster with considerable height for sure and some players with potential to develop.

Looks like no 3 point attempt is too long for him.

Gui shows a lot of raw talent. As with many of the Europeans he has a nice outside shot that he can hit from deep. I like that he uses both hands when finishing around the rim. His assists show he has good court awareness and hits his man in the right spot.
He plays in the Florida prep leagues and generally faces good competition. His lack of quickness may explain his lack of D-1 offers but his size and offensive skills could offset that.
We have offered so the coaching staff see him as something other than a bench setter. As for Joey Hart I assume he is still being recruited. However, he does have an offer from UE and he knows where we are. I don’t want to sit on him and see him commit to another team as he did with UCF.
As another said I see him committing to UE this week unless he has recently drawn a lot of interest.

These highlights are from 21-22. Gui played for IMG in Bradenton FL in 22-23 and you can find some updated highlights on Hudl. From what little I saw he has improved markedly in his senior year. Still pumping those long 3 pointers. From what I saw he will be a good get for UE.

I agree that there is significant improvement in his game from watching his Hudl highlights: www.hudl.com/video/3/18554170/63f8344c0c5e340bdca22f86

Thanks for sharing bballjunkie. This is what caught my eye (other than the usual comment that he could play either guard position): “… the foot speed was surprisingly good guarding smaller backcourt guys, has the look of an easy mid-major D1 prospect with upside enough to tickle some interest from higher D1’s.” Could be a matchup nightmare for opponents.

Also, looking at the picture, he seems to have unusually long arms which would increase his wingspan, which is another plus. He also looks like he’s hit the weight room considerably from the picture in the article that the bballjunkie shared.
