We need to improve all of the athletic programs but at least we are picked higher than basketball (but just barely). We appear to be headed in the right direction (up) after only a few months of Ziggy at the helm but it will take time. Go Aces!!!

I believe the Men's team still competes in the MAC championships while the MVC only sponsors women's swimming. Last years men's team set quite a few UE records.
It is a bit confusing because the regular season schedule for the men is composed a a some MVC schools, Bellarmine, Indiana and a few dual meets with the women's team, then finishing up at the MAC championship over in Oxford, OH.
From memory and perusing past history, UE fairs well against other private schools, but has a tough time against the larger public schools. I would think that the athletes are selecting UE for a particular academic field of study then the swimming aspect is a bonus for them. The pool is small (25 yds x 6 lanes) and the facilities have not changed much in 50 years. USI has a better facility that can attract some of the local kids to swim there.
Those of you that live outside of Evansville might not know that last year the City built a world class 50 meter pool near the old Bosse baseball field. It has a separate diving pool and with a movable center piece it can be changed from 50 mtrs, to 25 mtrs or 25 yards in length. UE did host an dual meet there last year and it was quite impressive. The $$ for UE to rent the place is pretty steep (at least that is what I have heard.) But in the near future I am sure the MVC will host the women's championship meet at the pool.

The Great Lakes Valley Conf/GLVC in hosting their championships at the Deaconess Aquatic center this week. Hopefully it turns out to be a great experience and that reps from the MVC are present and taking notes. Would love to have the MVC championships here in the near future.
I have watched a little bit of the meet on GLVCtv and the one negative I have is the camera angles they are using are not great. They need to have one centered on the pool so it is easy to see the placement of the swimmers during the contests.
