So looking at our official roster it looks like we could have four roster spots to fill in 2023 (not counting any potential transfers): Marvin is a 5th year senior; Kenny is listed as a redshirt senior; Gage and Antoine are listed as seniors. The last three might have a COVID year if they and the coaching staff decide to use. We have hit a home run on our first two 2023 recruits in 6’11” Michael Day and 6’5” Braylon Jackson. I believe Kenny came here with the intention of using the COVID year and being an Ace for two seasons. The other two I believe we will end up being open scholarships, but that could change depending on this season. I’m guessing we have 3 graduation scholarships + a transfer at the seasons end. I’m guessing the staff will wait and see on Tanner Cuff still, but are done with other high schoolers for the 23 class and will try to fill out the roster via the portal this spring. We can not have a successful year next year with 3 to 4 players that are currently playing a lot of minutes this year playing the same minutes next year.

I really hope we land the Adewale kid he looks really good. I am nervous about the Bailey kid he is super talented but has only verbally committed. Makes me wonder if the can only sign during certain times or is he waiting to see who else we get. I think Strawbridge comes back for another year or at least I hope he does

Once those periods are closed, they can not officially “sign”, they can only commit to a school. This is why Bailey hasn’t signed.

As Ad1770 mentions the next signing period is April 12th to May 17th. So he has done everything that he can do now. Hopefully he is concentrating on his senior season and enjoying his last year of high school. He will be a big addition for us and be part of the puzzle to get us back to the dance. Another big who can rebound like Sultan would definitely be nice to run Rags’ system. www.nationalletter.org/signingDates/index.html

Some of the coaches posted that they were having dinner at Cavanaugh's tonight. That typically means that they were hosting a recruit on an 'official' visit. Any ideas? I think Coach Jones' birthday was today. Could that be it?
Looks like Ace78 nailed it: Happy Birthday Coach Jones!

I see where Austin is a AAU coach for the Indy Heat 2025 team. Hopefully he can persuade some players our way since it looks like he is friends with Roosevelt.

Austin Croshere -- a blast from the past, nice rotational player on those great Pacer teams in the early 2000s. I have not followed the Pacers much since Reggie retired.

This new young Pacers team is going to be really really good for years to come. Tyrese Haliburton is the real deal. Like you I haven’t watched much of the Pacers since Reggie left. Not really a reason to considering how bad they’ve been other than a few of the Paul George years. With that being said though you should take a peek at this new team. They play hard and they play together.

I just made a meaningless observation. ACES are PACERS without the 'PR'...

Did not come in as a highly touted recruit (3 star) and was not really a big scorer, just made great passes, had a great understanding of ball movement, and played with infectious joy. As a Pacers fan I was thrilled when they traded for him, he is a guy to build a team around.

I don’t want to see there is a new post in general recruiting, and then find out the post has zero to do with general recruiting. It’s a waste of my time. That’s why there are certain areas for certain posts.
