The end of the first period explains the UE problem. 45 seconds left they should have counted on a final possession. Instead, SIU got 2 offensive rebounds, scored on a slop shot, stole the ball and got an uncontested layup. It went from 17-12 to 21-12 within about 10 seconds and UE never got a shot the last 45 seconds of the quarter.
You have to have a reason to be upset about that if you are a coach.

defensive rebounding is really killing the Aces.

I don't understand why Rylee Stephens isn't getting PT. She's one of the best shooters on the team. Davis is in some kind of funk missing shots she used to make easily. Feit is missing 3's. Dupont is better on offense but needs to get some strength in her hands. She's lost a few rebounds because she couldn't hold on to the ball.

This team is just too sloppy. I love the pace and the energy but process needs to eventually translate to better outcomes. I don't see them changing much, but you can't hit 9 out of 30 shots and have a dozen turnovers. More experienced teams get the lead and manage the pace.

Where would the Aces be if they could hit 45% of their shots? They need consistent shooters bad.

Lots of missed opportunities at the rim and layups missed. Securing rebounds is definitely a problem; missing rebounds we should get and having the ball ripped out of our hands. Both Feit and Clark seem to be struggling shooting the rock which isn't helping. I still like this team.

Finishing at the rim seems to be the biggest problem. |

They had three players foul out of the game, and had 18 turn overs. You won't win many doing that. Can't fault their effort, which was great in that second half, but they just need better players.
