Quite a different take by Chad on the women's program (and rightfully so) than the article on the men's program today: UE women's basketball players earn All-MVC honors as program takes step in rebuildAlso here is the GoPurpleAces article on the three Aces with postseason MVC honors: Women's Basketball trio hauls in postseason MVC awards"...For the first time since 2016-17, the Aces had a player selected to the MVC First Team as junior Abby Feit captured top honors. Joining Feit with all-conference recognition was junior Je'Naiya Davis, who was named honorable mention all-conference. Davis earned another honor, along with fellow backcourt mate Myia Clark, as both were named to the MVC all-newcomer team..."

Courier's attempts to sell the women's program to the public are fairly normal across the Midwestern media. It's essentially pinned to specific moments.
We read a story back when about the USI plan to consider going to D-1, then another story saying they planned to meet to discuss it, then another about what it meant if they did go D-1, and another story that they planned to vote on it after they met again. We read they met to agree to meet. Then we read about how the public had opinions about it, another story on the potential costs, another on the conference they might join ... all the way up to the one about how the faculty was pissed they had voted to do this and finally, on them joining the OVC. The rest of it will be written later on as the Screamers start recruiting.
I think I read a couple of stories about the UE women, including this one that has zero to do with the coach, the strategy, or the conference, or what the beleaguered athletic director has to say about the dipstick decision he managed to fix by replacing Ruffing.
So Chad should be applauded for rewriting a conference handout memo.
