Sam has 3 fouls, everybody calm down. Selzer is making the right decision to sit him for the first 5 minutes. Hadn't thought about that, with the T. And at least some offense is coming alive.
Update: the ESPN announcers even questioned why Sam is not playing right now. Only 9 minutes left.
Well, it's as plain as it can be. Bennie doesn't want Sam to get that 4th foul. That's beyond funny.

Bennie pulling another of his genius coaching moves...like his patented end-of-the-game slow down that cost us the Valpo game?

So Sam wasn't in the locker room with the team at half? Oh boy. What is your source as he is on the bench between DeAndre and the coaches. I could be wrong but I could have swore that's what the ISUb announcers said on the broadcast.

The announcers said that they were not in the locker room, so they could not speculate on any exchange between Sam and the clown at half time

We may not come within 20 points of any MVC team for the rest of the season.
Unbelievable to say, especially with the anticipation of this year's group, but I'm thinking this may be the worst Aces team I've ever seen.

No Sam is on the bench for the rest of the game. Stupid decision on Bennie's part. After he pull Sam that is about when the roof caved in.

This is beyond belief. At this rate they'll be scoring 19 points per game by the end of the season. Bring back the real coach.

I hope the report today is true. We can't take any more of Bennie. It's ridiculous at this point.

Bennie is teaching life lessons. Coach like Bennie and you'll never be a head coach.

An assistant head coach who admits he has no clue running this offense. How could that be?

There is no message being sent. He's trying to keep Cunliffe from an early 4th foul. He won't get any fouls sitting on the bench but the game is played on the floor not the bench. I know where the game is played. I'm just saying it's not unusual for a coach to keep a guy in foul trouble on the bench for a while and try to buy some time. As for keeping him on the bench, that's a whole other matter.

I'd be mouthing, too, if I had been fouled repeatedly with no calls...and now my coach benches me when I had been working hard, and scoring, to help my team win! This coach is hurting us as much with his coaching as Walt is by being out.

Sad day...on and off the court. Only thing I am going to say about things happening tonight and through this all....wins aren't always everything. I get it that we all want better results than what we have had. However....at what price? I will agree some recent posters. There were a lot of things we disliked or disagreed with concerning Marty. But, very rarely did we have see or have to deal with any of the problems that we see now.
