Glad to get another guy with some size. Not heavily recruited, but in limited footage I like his aggressive style. Hopefully a diamond in the rough.

Everybody looks good in their highlight videos, but he seems to show some things I haven't seen in other players we've gotten. I like how he handles the ball at his size. Hopefully, it was his growth spurt in high school that allowed him to fly under the radar.

What I like about Preston most is his versatility. He can score from the inside and out beyond the 3-point line, he can pass, rebound and runs the floor well. While he has had only one D-I offer from IUPUI possibly he was affected by the lack of exposure due to the virus. Whatever the reason he will become an Ace.

Agree 100% - he can score at the rim, in the mid range off the dribble, and behind the arc. Playing guard most of life could be very beneficial for his future and allow him to be a big 3-man or a very athletic stretch 4 next to Sisley.

This is maybe a nice addition. IUPUI would agree.

Glad to see us get Mr. Phillips. Clearly, coach and Logan have targeted size as a priority. Nudge would be a terrific fit. It wouldn’t surprise me for Simmons to make a “Castle” move on him, but IMHO, this would make NO sense for Jack. A VERY small market, complete rebuilding job, etc. With Nunge’s experience and some of our returners, we could have a surprisingly nice uptick to the program.
BTW, I saw that A. J. Green’s dad just signed on as asst. at Iowa St. probably was on another post that I didn’t see, but maybe A.J. leaves UNI for Iowa St.?

Skinny arms are okay in high school. He’ll be a junior by the time he has a MVC body. The apparent ball handling skills are a plus for his size. With only one other D1 offer, hold the champagne. He looks like a redshirt.

He looks like a redshirt. Kevin Durant had skinny arms entering UT and he turned out ok. So not sure I would use that as a guide to evaluate talent. But yes, he does need to bulk up like most of our recruits.

But yes, he does need to bulk up like most of our recruits. Kevin Durant was the 2nd highest rated player coming out of high school. He started all 35 games for Texas and averaged 26 points and 11 rebounds and then entered the NBA draft. He received far more than 2 D1 offers, I’m guessing. But yes, Durant was skinny. You are correct. That’s where the similarity ends. You need a more reasonable example.

Skinny arms should not be used as a means of evaluating college talent is the point.
Note: I will likely not respond to future comments unless they are constructive on moving the dialogue further. But really no future comments are needed as I think the above comment stands on it’s own. If you disagree with the first sentence and can elaborate with a reason, you can have the last word. I presume your point is a 5-star recruit can have skinny arms and it is no problem but a 2-star recruit can’t. If so, we will have to disagree. Obviously most all recruits need to bulk up but to me that is different than just concentrating on skinny arms.
