Although it may cost a lot to go to UE, an athletic scholarship doesn't cost the school as much. The teachers get paid the same amount whether they have 20 students or 23 students. The highest expense would be room and board.

The highest expense would be room and board. Especially if they don’t wear uniforms, travel to away games, eat meals on the road, stay in hotels, require insurance, etc. I slightly jest but on paper the tuition, room, board, fees etc. are charged to the athletic department and this is a time of fiscal crisis. Another factor is that the extra schollies are allowed by the NCAA next year only. So if Shamar and Jawaun stayed an extra year and we filled all the available scholarships for 21-22, there would be no spots open in 22-23. Of course, there are often transfers out, but even if cost were not a factor (and it is), I would probably look to fill one more scholarship with a serviceable big. Of course, if a couple of guys both looked like the second coming of Karl Malone, I’d take them both. Add Kevin McHale and I’d take 3.

Why have 13 kids on Scholarship when you only play 6.Just kidding I know you need practice players. If it is true that LT said anything about players leaving then that could be why 2 didn't hardly play
