I've seen other schools doing this, so I thought that we could hop in for a little fun. You have $15 to pick your starting five Purple Aces. (Don't hate on the rankings/value appointments. I understand you probably would have different players in different rankings. This is purely for fun and based off stats on Sports-Reference.)

I’d have to think on this awhile. Can’t argue with your choices statistically, but some of the old time players might have a tough time matching up physically since the game has changed so much.
I would say my $5 players might be Sloan, Mockevicius, Haffner, Simmons, and Casebier, though that leaves us a bit on the short side.

I was apparently too dense to figure how this goes earlier, I’ll try again
5$ Sloan 4$ Casebier 3$ Godfread 2$ Richie Johnson 1$ Taylor
Man there are so many good combos, I’ll play again for free here..
Center: Godfread 3$ Forward : Richie Johnson 2$ Forward: Casebier 4$ ( tough choice over Simmons) Guard: Sloan 5$. ( tough choice over Haffner) Guard: Jaylon Brown 1$

Changing mine too - the screenshot with the rules didn't show up before - now it makes a lot more sense

This might be better -
PG. Reed Jackson - $1 SG. Scott Haffner - $5 SF. Colt Ryan - $3 PF. Craig Snow - $2 C. Mock - $4
No one is going to outshoot those three guys from 2-4 and Reed and Mock would do the dirty work.
Colt Ryan - $3 Haffner - $5 Big Dan - $3 Ely - $2 Snow - $2
That would be interesting too

Man, this is tough. Seems like you have to include either Mock or Dan Godfread at center.
Reed Jackson $1
Sloan $5 Buse $5 Godfread $3
Ryan Taylor $1
It was tough to leave guys off (Casebier, Leaf, and Richie Johnson for $2 especially), but with Sloan, Buse, and Reed Jackson, these guys would kill you on defense.
I have also spent way too much time on this. A great diversion!

I can't believe that Bullock and Leaf aren't mentioned. Also if it was a free throw shooting contest I would pick Davis just because he had the ability to cause lane violations with his follow thru.
