What would it be? Be realistic with what we know the schedule will be. Rules are, you must use all opponents that we know are on the schedule (SMU, Ball St., IUPUI, Purdue?), no more than 7 home games, no less than 3 road games, and MTE is currently undetermined. Max amount of games should be 13. List the “scheduled” teams you would like to see us play this coming season (list games as what they are).
I’ll start it:
Home IUPUI (end of contract) Bellarmine (buy game) Grand Canyon (H and H) North Dakota State (H and H) George Mason (H and H) Non D-1 (buy game)
Road Ball State (contract end) SMU (contract end) Purdue (buy game) Wright State (H and H)
MTE 3 game set
This would be the schedule I would like to see. Would like to see everyone else’s take on it.

I think a somewhat competitive schedule, with regional rivals to generate fan interest will be very important this season. It's going to be a tough sell early on. I would hope for something more like this.
HOME: IUPUI Bellarmine ( I like them for a buy game) Western KY (H and H) SLU or Northern KY (H and H) Belmont (H and H) Kentucky Wesleyan for non-D1 buy (alternate with USI every year)
AWAY: Ball State SMU Purdue Murray State (This has turned into our biggest non-con rivalry, it needs to continue for both programs)
MTE

Again….. game one, Iona.
Other than that, yah, what they said.

I wonder if Todd Lickliter has any connection still with Butler. It would be good to get a H&H to restart the rivalry again. Perhaps a game with Creighton or WSU. I would prefer either of them over Grand Canyon
from eville ways
Kentucky Wildcats Distance: 165 miles Conference: SEC Ideal scheduling frequency: One road game in Rupp Arena every 10 years
Will never happen again

I would be excited for either AD1770 or E-villan’s sked. I could also see a home game with Iona, but doubt that would happen. Rickie P will defend WMc to the extent that he’d not want to have anything to do with U that fired his guy, Walter.
Definitely Murray on the docket, and I’d love SLU, Butler, or Belmont.
What’s the latest on a potential Thanksgiving tournament next Nov. It was hinted at, but I can’t find anything that confirms it.

The way things look, do you think we'll even have a next season? If so, definitely Murray State. Murray has turned into my favorite game. I was really glad we started scheduling them again. I would like to play Ky Wesleyan again. It'd be nice if we could get IU on our schedule.

I think a road game at IU is a good possibility. The Hoosiers have made a point of scheduling the state’s mid-majors. Good to see Purdue on for next season.

I'd try for Vanderbilt. It's a do-able distance, it's SEC and you might possibly get home-and-home.

I'd like to see more games with Louisville. Hopefully ex-Ace Chris Mack is amenable to a 2 and 1. I, too, would also like to see Butler more. I agree on SLU and Belmont. I'd also relish a home game with Xavier.

He was asked about a renewal of the contract and he said he was finished with Evansville. His departure from UE was not a happy one and I don’t see him doing anything to help us.

Okay if he feels that way. Everyone has changed in the athletic department since his time here. Sad if he's still holding a grudge. Life's too short to do that.

We would go to the Sports Center in Owensboro every time they played.
