Marcus Henderson enters transfer portal per verbalcommits.com.
I was hoping he would stay, could have been a good player for us.

I think Curtis took his spot.

I checked on my phone and it's not listed. Still shows him on scholarship.

Hello, it's Chad Lindskog. I've been following this board since it started but figured I'd go ahead and create an account for the offseason to keep in touch with fans/readers.
Henderson's departure opens a scholarship for next season. UE also isn't going to update the roster on its website until late summer anyway, so I wouldn't bother checking that to confirm. I think there could be a couple more who don't return and we should know for sure on them in the coming weeks.
Currently, next year's team (12/13 scholarships filled): Seniors (6): Hall, Frederking, Kuhlman, Cunliffe, Labinowicz, Ilegomah Juniors (3): Williams, Newton, Givance Sophomores (2): Thomasi and Curtis Freshman (1): Trey Hall Plus two walk-ons in Straub and Bobe.

Saw your Twitter post after replying earlier. MVC Hoops also posted an updated conference list. Verbal commits is sometimes pretty slow to update. It's a bummer but we have more pressing needs.

Agree with Stennis - he isn't the guy I wanted to lose but we really have bigger holes that we must fill and we need openings to do it. PG and Big are musts. Plus we need more shooting, as Henderson was probably the best shooter besides Curtis. And thanks Chad for confirming!

Marcus had game and could have been a good player. One of the few good shooters we had and could handle the ball well. I am sure this season did not go as he hoped or planned. He will be a good player for somebody. I thank him and wish him well. My hope is that bigger needs can be addressed with this scholarship opening.

This kid could definitely shoot. I don't know any more than that because he had limited playing time. I have to admit, I'm kinda glad he's leaving. We definitely need a big kid up front. I am not so sure we couldn't use a combination of Cunliffe and Givance at the point guard position and be successful. I'd like to see Frederiking and Peace (whatever his last name) leave as well to open up spots for TL.

He hit a couple threes, yes. Forget the games but he did throw up a couple air balls . One game he hit two and I was thinking wow then he shot an air ball. So 38% over all not bad but just over a poor three shooting team average. Maybe coach L can do better.

Entering the portal doesn't necessarily mean he's gone, correct?
Perhaps there's still a shot for TL and the other coaches to re-recruit him. It looked like he could become a really good player based upon his limited playing time provided he gains weight and experience.

He’s not gone until he’s gone. He was probably told he needed to make improvements in his game if he expects to see more playing time. Happens all the time. His head is obviously not into staying at UE so maybe it’s time for him to move on. He can and will be replaced.

He would have been ok if he would have gotten stronger and learned to play defense. Other than hitting a few 3s he was not overly impressive. We have bigger needs as has been pointed out by others.

I think Henderson had some talent. Needed to put on some weight before next season. I had heard that he would transfer when he hurt his foot(wink, wink). I don't think he will be last one. Look for 2 or three to leave, please let one be Peace. I look for coach to hit the Jr.College or over seas for some big men if available, we need some badly.

I fully expect all the “injured” players who didn’t travel to StL to leave.
