I really hope we can keep the committed kids committed. I understand if they choose to go elsewhere. I just really am looking forward to seeing them in Purple.

I was and still am very excited to see each of these three play for us. I hope they all stay committed because this is one hell of a recruiting class that we have coming in.

I am not trying to be "Debbie Downer" but I don't see any of our verbally committed recruits waiting till March to see who the coach is going to be for Evansville. Assuming McCarty will be gone, unless the Aces play out of their minds well and lift the "interm" tag from Benny S, I would believe these kids will want to commit somewhere else. But not even that if the kid was just sold on McCarty alone. God knows I want to be wrong.

Yep, I just saw that on Twitter too. I’m not as concerned about Khalil as I am the other two. Guards are much easier to find than 6-8 power forwards.

It would seem that his roster spot had been filled with Samari Curtis.

It would seem that his roster spot had been filled with Samari Curtis. That’s what I’m thinking too. With the addition of Samari we have good guard play with both shooters and ball handlers just ahead of Khalil with no guarantee that he would be given a scholarship. It seems to me that the only guards we need to add in the next two years would be lights out 3-point shooters and not shake-n-bake ones. Our pressing need is 3-4-5 players with size who can consistently score and rebound. Except for DeAndre our paint players can’t hit a 2-foot shot and our guards become the top rebounders.

Were still short a scholarship for Johnathan. So that tells me Walter knows that others were leaving. I mean who offers 4 kids with only 2 scholarship to give

Johnathan would fill KJ Riley’s scholarship after he is done at the end of the school year. The verbal commit who needs an opening is Trey.

It would seem that his roster spot had been filled with Samari Curtis. I'm thinking that he saw Samari had taken a scholarship and decided to look elsewhere
