It will be interesting if we start of behind 6-0 or 9-0 like usual or worst. If we start the game off strong like we belong to be on the court I believe we actually have a chance to win. As long as the zebras don't get involved. Good Luck Aces!! I will be there yelling my voice out.

When their back court of Duke Dean & Connor Hickman are on, they are near the top of the MVC. Simply a pleasure to watch...did UE offer Bloomington, IN's Hickman? He's really bulked since last year up...Dean almost single-handedly whipped ISU in TH w/ his 3 pt shooting!

Yes We offered Hickman and Malevy Leons. Lickliter just couldn’t close out any competitive recruitments and had a poor eye for talent in the less competitive recruitments he was able to win.

I am old but I believe it has happened in more than one game. I now we have started with the other team hitting 2 straight 3 pointers more than once. But no matter I just hope we start off well.

"But even before that, he was well known to the Bradley staff, with assistant Drew Adams, a 2004 South grad and son of Hickman’s Indiana Elite AAU coach Mark. They reached out early and often in an effort to get Hickman to play in Peoria." -Herald Times
Hard to be win recruits w/ this INSIDER AAU competition...

I looked it up because starting slow has been a topic of discussion before, but sometimes narratives get started when it’s not fact. UNI was the worst start, we had a couple of 5-0 deficits in other games, we have started slow at times not going argue that, but we have had multiple different lineups, not drastic changes, but there has been 5 different lineups. This didn’t seem to much of problem, until Ben’s injury and beginning conference play.

Hickman is better than any guard that IU has on there roster.

I remember posting on either this board or the old board how big of get Hickman would be. He's really a good player - Deen is too. Unfortunately, their strong point is our weakest point - guard play. I don't have a good feeling about this game - but hopefully I am wrong. Edit - here is the original thread purpleaceplace.freeforums.net/thread/144/2021-connor-hickman

Hickman is better than any guard that IU has on there roster. It would be interesting to see how his former Bloomington South teammate Anthony Leal would be doing if he dropped to the midmajor level. I’m not sure Hickman would be the best guard on IUs team, but he’d definitely have a place on their roster if Leal can hold down a spot.
