Comparisons are fun. I'll compare Humrichous to Reed Jackson, Andy Elkins and Craig Snow. To be successful, you must have an all-purpose forward and Big Ben is every bit of that. I'll compare Tanner Cuff to Jeremy Stanton. He is unselfish, a tenacious defender and terrific passer. He differs by occasionally shooting without being urged to by the fans. Tanner and Ben are team chemistry guys in the mold of Reed, Andy, Craig and Jeremy.
And kudos to Chuck Bailey III who didn't ride in as Mr. Hot-Shot Four-Star. He has blended in and let the game come to him. There is no Cunliffe in him. If Marcus Wilson fails to get "his guy" to transfer to Ole Miss to be with Bol, we'll be enjoying one of the best to ever wear the Aces uniform.

I have to ask how BHum got overlooked by D1 teams. I'm glad we got him for two years though. I would guess a few factors, including but not limited to; *graduated HS at 6-7 170 *small town/small school prejudice and lack of exposure *probably didn’t do the AAU summer clubs. Again, lack of exposure. The Duncan Robinson comparisons will start. Also, some similarities with Ron Baker, who walked on at Wichita. Only had scholly “interest” from 2 lower D1’s.

Ben H is now taller and bigger than Ron Baker and to me seems "long" and can easily shoot over a zone defense like he has shown. I believe Ron Baker played more as a 2 or 3 for the Shockers. Ben is more of a 3 or 4. The good thing about this team is we are far from a one man team. We have several guys that can play and we need to keep em coming. Looks like next year we have a couple more coming in that look pretty solid as well.

Cuff is a hell of a lot better than Bomba.Bomba was in the game for one reason and that was to set picks and screens for our scorers

I agee Hate to pile on but I have to agree as well. I cannot think of a player in recent memory like Cuff. He is very crafty in how he plays, uses his size to his advantage, unselfish, unique player. Glad he is on our team ! Go Aces !

Probably helped that we played Huntington in an EXH game last year and had a chance to scout him in person. Really makes you wonder how he only averaged 12 ppg at Huntington last season. I know he didn’t just develop that skillset in one off-season. I looked at some of his H.S. game reports and stats and he was a 20+ ppg player at Tipton before he went to Huntington. Looking at their box scores, they were quite offensive-minded and had a lot of games with 5 guys in double figures. Seemed more of a team guy with assists, rebounds than just shooting. That may end up being the case at UE. I don't see anybody scoring 20 points a game every night.

Gotta love it...he is correct ! We keep improving and playing like we have been and we can move up a lot than where we are now at 198. We are so much better than 198 !l

Not even 36 hours after the game has been played, and we have moved down to 198. I’m not so sure about breaking out of the 200s for good, and can see us being back over 200 by the time the Mo. St. game gets here.

I have to say it is with great pride that I have seen/heard this Aces team play the past 3 games (audio/video live streams)! They look like the gritty Aces teams of the past. And the Humrichous kid is a helluva competitor. I believe his tenaciousness rubs off on the entire roster. Since I live way out here on the far West Side (Utah)…I will try my best to get to Provo on the 5th when UEMBB invades the Marriott Center. We will need to use 10-11 players to offset the effects of the higher altitude, but BYU can be had by THIS Evansville team. Meanwhile, now is the time to get off to a quick start in MVC play next week! This team deserves a packed house @ the fabulous Ford Center, although I would be happy to see at least 7k for that first MVC Home game next Sat. First things first…a trip to MoSt. and a WIN! Go Aces! Glad to have you here sgace. Great first post! Glad to be here. This team is fun to watch. Cheers!
