I will say this about Bobe, he usually plays within his capabilities on the offensive end and doesn't get in the way of other guys. I believe it was a 21-5 run for us during a 9 minute span with Bobe, Cuff, Hughes, Ben H., and Bailey on the floor. The chemistry and flow was there for us with that line-up; Gage being disciplined and letting the other 4 do their thing. Put Toumi in for Gage and that blows up the chemistry of that run.
Am I wrong, but I think Kalle looks smaller this year and needs to get in the weight room. Strawbridge looked a bit out of shape too, but maybe he looked the same last year??
Verdict is still out on Thomas -- think he needs a few games to find his rhythm.
Bailey had 2 huge plays where he was fouled on our offensive end while going for a rebound put-back, then sent to the line for free throws. The last one happened with one minute left and really sealed the victory for us. Last year the lack of effort in attempting to get offensive boards was a big complaint on here. Great to see that Ben and Bailey will change that narrative this year.

Reminds me of the running joke where if Lebron and one of us were on the same team we could say that we combined for 34 ppg ( where one of us average one point and Lebron 33 points). Misleading but would be a true statement. James Jones made 7 straight finals and won 3 championships from 2010-2017. Arguably the second most dominant individual stretch of the 21st century behind only LeBron

Really impressed with the newcomers.....the staff deserves a lot of credit for upgrading the roster with guys who can give us meaningful minutes day 1. The group on the floor during the run in the 2nd half had 4 new guys with Ben H. leading the way.
Bobe struggled last night on offense but he has a place on this squad in the rotation because of how he can shoot it. When Chuck put it on the floor it was an all out assault by Miami trying to get in the lane to challenge him. Surrounding CB III with shooters, including Bobe will be a key to our success when he's on the floor. Chuck is impressive and his floor vision really stood out to me last night.
Bobe shouldn't have played 35 minutes a game last year but where we were, redshirting so many kids it was what had to be done. I will defend Bobe in this regard, all he's done is stick around and work himself from a walk-on to a scholarship by putting in the work. He didn't ask to play all those minutes last year and I think his role, along with Thomas will slowly decrease as the season goes along. Cuff and Bailey III are my favored backcourt and I think one if not both will find themselves starting come Valley play.
To win a game and not play great at times is fun. We have the ability to defend well and might have found a rim protector in Hughes. A lot to like and a lot to improve on but the biggest takeaway is the depth this roster has, the deepest in a long time.

Two days have passed, and I realized I haven’t said anything on this game. To me, there was a big moment in this game that defined this team.
Early in the second half, we fall behind by 7, last year’s team would have hung their head, and the game would be over. But this year, it just felt different. When Rags called the timeout to stop the run, you could feel the electricity. Those on the bench were talking up the guys on the court, keeping them engaged and in the game. Then the powder keg exploded, our run happened, and we closed out the game for the win. That doesn’t happen last year.
That was my biggest takeaway from this game. The we don’t quit mentality of this team. It was big Monday night, and it will continue to be all season.
Oh, and B-Hum is pretty good. All 18 in the second half, and an ankle breaking step back three to really get the crowd rocking.
