Have a question. Seeing a lot of people saying we need a PG. what about Dwayne Wade’s son, Zaire? 6’2” point out of Cali, and his top offers are Nebraska and DePaul. If he has half of his dad’s skill, he could be what we need, and an NBA legend at the home games wouldn’t hurt either. What say you guys?

Due to the Virus if we lose 3 to 4 players this could really impact our recruiting.

If I am understanding the NCAA's stance at this point, I believe all recruiting activity on and off campus is not going to be allowed at this time. I am not sure if any contact such as text, or phone calls to recruits would be approved or not.

I am not sure if any contact such as text, or phone calls to recruits would be approved or not. I would need to confirm that, but I know that D1 volleyball is similarly restricted. They are actively requesting recruits to send them video, emails, texts, etc to keep the process going and coaches are working the phones since it is their contact/evaluation period. This is also a huge recruiting time for them due to USA Volleyball National Qualifiers occurring across the USA.....obviously those events have been cancelled too. So, coaches will not have near as much time to watch players in person, talk to them, etc this recruiting season. Their quiet period is from May 1-early June.

This was just announced:
“A temporary recruiting dead period in all NCAA DI sports, is effective immediately. The dead period will remain in effect at least until April 15, at which time the Council Coordination Committee will re-evaluate the status of the situation.”

Seriously, following the 'rules' this spring and summer seems like adding a fresh coat of paint to the Titanic. If half the college sports programs have anything resembling continuity, I will be surprised.
If I am the NCAA, I say ... the only rule is, if you have no eligibility, then you can't play. Stop penalizing the programs that play by the rules.
Recruiting? Pffffft ... do whatever you have to do to get a team lined up. If it's a mess, we fix it later. Fans honestly won't care after what we've been through. Maybe from this can come something that resembles decency by the organization ... as in, having a clue.
This is of course a bit of cautious optimism.

As far as Indiana schools, he's been contacted by Ball State, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Indiana State and IUPUI. Thirty-one total schools have contacted him, as of Friday

He would be a good replacement for Art and would solidify our guard position. Obviously there’s a lot of schools that believe Sean would solve their needs too. If we are lucky to get Sean it will allow our coaches to concentrate on our real need for the November signing period which are paint players. Blake Sisley needs to be one of these.

I know he would be a RS but we only lose Riley as a guard and pick up Curtis at the Semester break. I’m looking at the next 2-3 years and East fills that gap nicely. Also with 3 years of eligibility he would spread the recruiting for PG too.

Think about this closely. The Aces are losing 2 players so far by transferring, and one is a grad transfer.Thats pretty good considering we lost all our conference games, and they had to play for THREE different head coaches. That to me shows the respect these kids have for the school, community and our coaching staff
