I had posted about an apology letter from UE for this season. I will take back the term apology. The comment regarding the players during the Merfeld era.... Valid point.. There was actually a video produced after his second season as coach, distributed to fans on VHS, which basically thanked fans for their support and making the case for better times ahead for the program. This was the year prior to the three players' theft issue. Just a letter sent soon after the season would be a nice gesture as the video was 16 years ago. Scott Peace is a great guy to handle these types of responsibilities! I have been impressed by him since he started working at Carson Center.

In regards to billboards.
I was in Peoria on Thursday. At one of the busiest intersections in town, there is an electronic billboard. Bradley had a countdown ad which showed next home game..Loyola, and had day, hours and minutes until tip-off.
We have done a nice job with having season ticket and pre-season billboards around town, but I am not aware of anything that is actively promoting up-coming games through the season. I know there are a few of these type of billboards around town, one at Green River and Morgan comes to mind.

I know there are a few of these type of billboards around town, one at Green River and Morgan comes to mind. UE put a new big board up along the Lloyd Expressway I thought, perhaps that has been used or can be. With the improvements of the baseball field perhaps more people will be in the area noticing. There are many electronic boards around town. I can't imagine it would hurt to have this kind of thing pop up a few days and hours before each home game. I guess it is up to the owners of those boards, Lamar I think it is. Another great turn out by our die hard Aces fans. Just a handful short of 5K. Not bad for an 0-18 team in conference play. Nice amount of people stayed to hear KJ speak. I really liked what Coach TL said about him always being welcome and always an Ace. I do NOT remember Walter saying this last year or Simmons saying it any of his senior day comments. Perhaps I may have missed one over the years. There is always next year if things don't work out in St Louis. Go Aces !

I didn't want to start a new thread so this seems like a good landing place. Found this info on the Missouri State fan site. Here are the highlights... What strikes me is the dip of MSU. Like UE, they were totally hyped for the upcoming season. Everyone, once again, saw them as the favorite to take the MVC title...but they did not even come close. With the competitive balance, you just never know. It's really a shame Loyola does not draw any better than what they do, even with a small but very nice new arena. I am not sure if they are even an "after thought" in Chicago. Loyola athletics' will continue to thrive, however, with additional improvements on their facilities on the way.
