Another name that I haven’t seen tossed around but is certainly plausible is Chris Lowery. Are we all staunchly opposed to him? I say throw him in the next poll just for fun How is he plausible? He wrecked Carbondale. Weber and Painter had those skinny fleabags on solid ground, and Lowery destroyed all of it. He is only plausible because he is from Evansville. So is that guy that screams in the car commercials, should we consider him? I didn’t say he was a good candidate, I just said he was a plausible candidate to fill the job. You included Hinson and Lansing on the list. He’s in the same category as them and Crean imo. Washed up coaches looking to rehab their careers late in the game. He’s spent the last 12 years having off and on success with Weber at KSU. He’s a hell of a lot more qualified than both Calbert Cheaney and the guy at Expressway Dodge. For the record, I’m not interested in him as the HC at all, but he is in a “special assistant to the HC” role at Missouri State and would likely jump at this oppurtunity if the interest was mutual, which makes him plausible for discussion as a candidate. Not saying he’d be a finalist just a candidate that could realistically be interested in throwing an application in. Just wanted to throw it out there since no one else had. I assume we’re all strongly opposed but just wanted to see everyone’s thoughts while we’re discussing candidates

I will say again that IF Crean being is considered it would be a disappointment. UE cannot continue to look like a place where once-popular coaches go to finish out their mediocre tenures. Crean would not bring in the buzz an emerging program needs. Honestly don't care if he's the best coach since Adolph Rupp, the UE model now needs to get past that. Hinson is in the same group as Crean. Let's hit the refresh button on this.

David Ragland for me. He's a proven young assistant coach who is a good recruiter.

David Ragland for me. He's a proven young assistant coach who is a good recruiter. Surprised he didn’t get more votes honestly. I wish there was an easy way to conduct a weighted survey where you rank your top 3. I think that would be more indicative of who the fan bases top choices are.

Don't care who they find, just as long as we get good kids and we start winning.

As we have found out, that’s not as easy as it sounds. Hopefully we can get it right this time. I have a feeling it might be someone that we have never heard of and that is ok as long as they are a winner.
