probably not, they lost their big man to portal the last couple of years, good program, seems to be a good fit for Blake. I can see Blake averaging 12 pts,6boards a game in this weaker conference than the MVC

Bummer. Hopefully I will wake up and this was one big April Fools joke. I wish him nothing but the best - a great kid. How can we keep wishing these kids the best when they are turning there back on the program, that's just my opinion.

Losing him to Wright State is painful - but it just goes to show how far Evansville has fallen. Right now Wright State is a destination location compared to us. They went to the NCAA in 2022 and 2018, the NIT in 2019, and probably to another NIT in 2020 had it actually been played. That just goes to show how bad it is. We haven't been to either of these since 1999. Meanwhile, we have signed a grand total of ZERO players so far this spring. I repeat - ZERO! We have 6 scholarhips players on the roster. Smith, Blaise, Phillips, Hall, Logan M, and Okoh. That is it. This tells me what Blake's talent level was

Transferring to the Horizon league doesn’t change that. I’d suggest you redirect your anger from the players towards the administration. Can’t blame anyone for abandoning a Todd Lickliter coached team

How can we keep wishing these kids the best when they are turning there back on the program, that's just my opinion. I wish them all well and then some. The administration and the coach who mailed it in are the ones who turned their back on the program. Why does a kid have to stay with Evansville when they didn’t live up to their side of the bargain. Coaches get a free pass to go wherever they want and make a boatload of cash but a young person who wants to go somewhere he has a better opportunity , that is called turning your back??

Maybe Blake will improve in a couple of years and be a good player. But he just didn't impress me a whole lot.

Infuriating and to all the experts on this board who always tell us how unqualified Marcus is, I would take Marcus leading the program over TL every day of the week. At least he cares about the program, more than can be said about TL and Spencer. Watching TL coach I sometimes wonder is this a bad movie we’ve been watching called “weekend at Lickliter’s”. Also, while on topic of fiction Michael Scott and Dwight Schrut from Dunder Mifflin could do a better job running the program than Spencer and Prez P have done.

Wright State had a very good chance at landing Blake out of high school. Recruiting is about relationships. Once he was in the portal I'm sure he was comfortable with the familiarity he had with Nagy. Not to mention, Wright State has gone to the tournament twice (2018 & 2022) under Nagy as well as winning the Horizon regular season in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Much more success than we have had of late.

Who cares if you are in the MVC if it’s in last place every year with a coach as enthusiastic and as engaged as a 🦥 sloth.
