Here are the season to date rankings after this round. db1972 maintained his small lead over the ever-humble AcesChamps6571 and self-honorable PurpleWhiskers. 83Ace made a move on the leaders, and is nipping some ankles pretty good right now.
Make sure all of you read the wild-card information in the post above. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Alright Mousketeers, here are the results of Round 10. Ace78 was the only one to achieve perfection this round. 6thman would have had he not placed a homer pick on the Aces. Obviously a man picking with his heart. 83Ace made a small move with a 13, while the leaders all locked together with 12's. Unless there is overwhelming objection, I am going to insert a "WILD CARD" game into the last (5) rounds. It will add a little strategy going down the stretch. I will select one game and designate it the WILD CARD GAME. If you chose to utilize this, it automatically becomes your (5) game. You will be able to use a value between (5) and (10) if you wish. HOWEVER, if you do go over (5), you will lose all points for that game if you lose. For example, place (8) on that game and lose, then (8) is subtracted from your score for that round. If you place (5) or lower on the WILD CARD GAME, then it will play as normal, with no subtractions. 15 Ace78 14 6th man 13 83Ace 13 goacesgo 13 hagankyle78 12 db1972 12 AcesChamps6571 12 PurpleWhiskers 12 acecard 12 kyace1 12 Tom Servo 12 E-Villan 12 acefan 12 Sycamorefan96 11 Purple Strong 11 gaace 10 Ad1770 10 scottpt99 10 Atlanta Ace 9 ncace 8 muni cup 14 8 COUTEAU 0 lawrencevgibson I am against the idea of a wild card. It adds far too much variability, and is not in keeping with the rest of the contest. To me, the point is to be the best at picking Valley basketball games, not being able to effectively game a strange system and luck out. Especially not a huge fan because it was not mentioned at all prior to this post, so nobody had any idea it was coming. I would be more receptive to it if it had been broadcast at the beginning of the season that it was part of the contest rules, but changing it halfway through does not make a fan out of me.

Fair enough db. I am just trying to find a way to keep it somewhat interesting for all besides the top 4-5 down the stretch.

Villan, maybe you should put it to a vote. I am not particularly in favor it either, but am liking your effort to keep it interesting.

Fair enough db. I am just trying to find a way to keep it somewhat interesting for all besides the top 4-5 down the stretch. Evillan, IF you're putting your wild card idea to a vote, here's another negative vote. Obviously, you're within your right to run the game as you wish. It's not like there's a million dollars on the line. I just like playing games the same all the way through. I remember when college basketball added the shot clock, there were those with loud microphones calling for the shot clock to be turned off the last 4 minutes. No, I believe you play the entire game with it, or the entire game without, don't play by different rules in the same game. I don't care for stopping the clock in the last minute after a made basket, as it not only rewards the losing team, but the last minute is different than the first 39. I'm very against the trend in baseball to start extra innings with a runner on second base. Play the game the same way throughout the whole game. That's getting off topic, so back to the point- play the game the same throughout. Tourney time is different. Then play the wild card way. Just my two cents. Thanks for taking the time to run the contest.
