Thanks for sharing stlscooter!
Just some tidbits here: His brother goes to Miami of Ohio; earlier he had some interest from Purdue; 247sports list him as a three star recruit even though I only see offers from Miami of Ohio and Evansville. He is left-handed. He seems to be more of an offguard than a point guard. Although he can play the point a little bit. He is supposed to have a high motor and is real good in transition. Still working on his shot a little bit. His dad is Jerome Brewer, who played at Vincennes University. That name sounds very familiar for some reason.
I need to look at a little bit of tape on him, but these are some things I gleaned off the Internet.

That’s a pretty good final three choices, doesn’t hurt that Purdue was looking at him too.
I like our chances, based on verbal commits we are a lot thinner at his position, would def improve his possible playing time.
i wonder if Jayden could be our next commit?

He actually looks to be playing for Avon wearing #12 he moves well and he’s every bit of 6’5”

He’s been ruled ineligible at Ben Davis high school. Not sure on the details why. RT @kyleneddenriep: Jayden Brewer awaits word on appeal after he's ruled ineligible by IHSAA following transfer to Ben Davis. mobile.twitter.com/i/web/status/1316103678030491648

Indiana HS rules most likely. You can’t transfer to a different school if it’s determined it was done for athletic purposes. A good athlete has a hard time in this state proving differently.
I have first hand knowledge of this as my son was an elite athlete. I changed jobs and moved to a new city to be closer to my new job. This had nothing to do with athletics. After enrolling my son into HS I was informed the Principal had scheduled a personal meeting with me. I was told that my son could not participate on any of the HS sports teams for a period of one year. I told him that was ok with me because he would be participating in club sports on a national level and had no interest in the HS teams. I did ask him why this was a concern and he told me it was IHSAA rules.
I’m not sure what the reason for Jayden Brewer to be ineligible, but my money is on this reason. This happens frequently in Indiana.

Thanks for the Indy Star link austinace. It gave me a complete picture of what’s going on with this kid. I also got up to speed on Twitter too. This is our second recruit having to sit out due to transfer rules but Clint Hopf’s circumstances are a little different. Out here in AZ schools have open enrollment and you can go to your school of choice as long as there is space available. We have a lot of transfers for academic reasons. We also have a number of Prep Schools that bring in basketball players from all over the country although the public schools are more into football like Texas. I’m more interested in who we actually sign in November. I hope we fill all the available scholarships at that time. We need to get next year’s team set up to keep the ball rolling and not be looking in the Spring for someone who was missed.

Sounds like the strictly athletic transfer reason to me. It doesn't seem that he's going to a great Ben Davis team.

Pretty certain Jayden transferred schools and tried to play varsity but they won't allow him to per IHSAA rules. So he's stuck on JV.
