They obviously didn't come together to show off their defense!

They obviously didn't come together to show off their defense! Don't want to foul out in a game like that. That's why All Star games are offensive explosions.

Do you think Sisley can develop into the next Marty Simmons, the player? I think Sisley will be an excellent four year player for Evansville. Not sure we are comparing apples to apples here though. Sisley is a 6'8" forward with guard skills. Where Marty was an undersized forward (6'5") - a guard or small forward body if you will that tried to mix it up inside. Not sure Sisley will average 25.9 points per game his senior year but he will be solid for sure. Both are great shooters from outside (or least Marty was in his day).

Very very few players average 25 points a game now. If they do, they are playing in a league that plays no defense or are on a team where the offense is designed only for them to score. I think the trend in MBB now is to attempt to have 5 or 6 guys consistently in the 12-15 PPG range. The word 'consistently' isn't a mistake.

No team in the MVC has a player who averages 25 points a game. Even Marty's one-shooter teams didn't have a player who averaged that much. And we can be assured that Lickliter's clock-milking offense won't be producing one.

This week especially sweet for Blake Sisley as Heritage Hills' first Indiana All-Star"...for Blake Sisley, the honor is especially sweet. The 6-9 Evansville recruit is the first Indiana All-Star — boys or girls — from Heritage Hills, a Spencer County school established in 1972... Sisley will always be Heritage Hills’ first Indiana All-Star, but he might not hold the designation as the school’s only All-Star for long. His younger brother, Trent, is a 14-year-old freshman-to-be who is already 6-6 and has guard skills. “We’re honestly pretty different as players,” Blake said. “Most of my life, I grew up as a post player and developed more of an outside game in high school. He’s played on the wing from day one. He’s super athletic and a little quicker.” Trent Sisley video I presume this is 8th grade footage - he look's ready to play for Evansville now. This kid is going to be really good - hoping Evansville is already talking with him.

AustinAce, I agree! I posted back on page one these same thoughts.
Having Blake Sisley join UE is GREAT news for today!! It's big time!
The 2nd awesome part about it is this ... Butler had the great teams with the Graves family connection ... maybe UE will have their own version with the Sisley family?! Here is Blake's "little" brother, Trent (Class of 2025) in action:

Blake's "little" brother Trent (class of 2025) is continuing to receive good reviews nationwide. In this ranking he comes in #28 (I presume in the nation - correct me if I am wrong): Top 25 Scouts Class of 2025 Official Rankings

I really hope Blake loves it at UE and tries to persuade him to join him here. We really need these good, local-area players. I believe a combination of winning many games and putting more tri-state kids on the floor will put many more asses in the Ford Cener's seats.
