According to the Courier & Press story this put us at 3 over on the roster. Only Marvin Coleman II has no eligibility left. Be interesting to see who's heading out?

I’ll say it again. I won’t publicly say who I think will leave. If anyone is interested in it, shoot me a DM. I’m happy to tell anyone.

Here we go. Loving this commit. Big pick right here. And, we are once again out of schollys by July. When coaches are out of schollys, this is where I can see coaches using the portal to their advantage. They can suggest to a current scholly player (either verbally or by simply not playing a guy) that it might be best for them to transfer.

Awesome news!! Welcome aboard Chuck? Can't wait to see when Harold asks what kind of capri sun he wants.

Rivals has him as the #36 best point guard in the 2023 class in the country. If that doesn’t sound impressive, then consider this. The #35 recruit committed to Iowa and #34 committed to NC State.
Huuuuge pickup! Congratulations Chuck, and welcome aboard.

Would the roster be at 13 if just Bobe and Smith do not return for their extra year of eligibility? If that's the case, bring in all the newcomers and welcome back Strawbridge with open arms.
But, I feel a couple of Lickliter's recruits will not be back.....so there may be more open spots to use in 2023 or 2024

If Gage stays, they will make his scholarship an academic one that does not count against the 13 allowed. NCAA should change the scholly rule to match the 16 player limit. P5 schools are going to pay their 3 non-scholly players NIL money anyways.

But, I feel a couple of Lickliter's recruits will not be back.....so there may be more open spots to use in 2023 or 2024 Pretty sure Strawbridges dad commented on twitter after his commitment that he was coming to play for two years here with the COVID eligibility year, so I’m going to say it’s pretty safe to assume he’s back unless this season has changed his mind. They’ve been recruiting all season like they have 3 open schollys, so I think it’s also safe to assume that Antoine and Gage both know the coaches intend to use their scholarships elsewhere and they will need to transfer if they want to play their COVID year. Those departures would leave us at the limit. I also think multiple Todd Lickliter recruits that have eligibility left will leave the program this off season. I’d rather not speculate on who those are since they have multiple years of eligibility left

First of all, congrats to the coaching staff for a great pick-up.
As far as schollys, let’s walk through the time line. Day, Jackson, and Cuff all verballed prior to Beachamp entering the portal. Cuff verballed Nov 10, Beachamp Dec7. I could be wrong, but that leads me to believe Ragland knew he had 3 confirmed openings at the start of the season. That probably means 2 of 3 listed Seniors not named Coleman weren’t coming back. Beachamp’s departure made 4. I believe at this point in time we are all square.

This is a huge pickup for the Aces. One of the key positions needed going forward was leadership at the point and someone who can create and score. If the Rivals rating is anywhere near being accurate at #36 then Charles might be the best guard we have ever had at this position and Don Buse was pretty good.

Some comments from April 2022 on his style of play “I am a scoring combo guard by nature,” Bailey told On3. “But lately, I have been working on becoming more of a true point guard. I know down my open shots and make my reads getting to my spots. I watch a lot of point guards who can score, Dame Lillard, I watch a lot of TyTy Washington. TyTy is a bigger guard who can score while still getting his teammates involved; that is how I want to play.” “I want to go somewhere that I feel comfortable with a family feel,” Bailey said. “I also know I can be a pro; I’m going to be looking for a place with that same vision. Somewhere that can develop me to be a pro in a few years.” Bailey’s dad, Chuck Bailey, Jr., was a 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward who played at Michigan and Detroit. On3’s take: Chuck Bailey is a bigger guard. He has broad shoulders and long arms. What stood out about his game was his ability to change pace. He is a good athlete, but his ability to alter speeds got him anywhere he wanted on the floor. Bailey toggled the line between scorer and facilitator well. You would like to see him continue learning the reads once he is in the paint and more confident in his three-point shot. Looking at his ability to touch the paint and the projectability of his frame, you see what these college programs are seeing in his game.
