UE men’s soccer team’s only two losses have been to top 20 teams (#19 Xavier and #17Missouri State) and they played both of them pretty close.

Should be a good game against IU on Tuesday at home. Game also on ESPN+. UE has played four ranked teams fairly close (#2 Kentucky 0-3; #9 Xavier 1-3, #11 Louisville 0-2, #18 Missouri State 3-4). These games also account for their only losses of the year. Kentucky was an exhibition game though. Indiana is just out of the top 25 at number 28 so I give them a slight edge but hoping that it is fairly close. Rankings: unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-di-men/

I was at the game against Drake and we played really well. Most impressive was our 3rd goal because we were against a stiff wind in the second half. Ball handling and passing was on point. Hopefully we finish out by winning our remaining conference games and #2 in the standings. Most likely Missouri St will be #1 seed in the MVC tournament and get the only first round bye; then #2, #3 and #4 will get first round home games. Final four takes place at the #1 seeds home turf. mvc-sports.com/standings.aspx?standings=47

This kid is just a freshman:
They play IU shortly at home and on ESPN+. Game time was pushed back to 6:30 per Anthony.

The Aces have tied the game at one all with 35 minutes to go. IU scored early in the game.
Agree with Anthony’s comments.

As Anthony stated about our goal -- "but it could be argued that it was offside." No argument needed, it was definitely offsides, but is also the reason the offsides rule needs to change. We took control of the ball and Graham out hustled the IU defender to get the through ball from Diaz. The offsides was not egregious (one yard beyond an IU player). They need to look at the reason the offsides rule was initially instituted....and it was not for plays like the one tonight.
Never played organized soccer in my life, but have watched many games, and it is the one rule that frustrates me the most as a fan.
Rant over!

Definitely looked like offsides to me.Also late in the game UE could have had a PK as our player was pushed from behind in the box.

Rant over! I agree that the offsides rule is frustrating but without it players would be cherry picking in the box all the time. Just hope that VAR doesn't come to college soccer. It will be much worse.
